The skilled Grounds Maintenance Crew ensures the upkeep of outdoor spaces vital for submarines, aircraft carriers, and surface ships, reflecting a commitment to inclusivity and high-quality service delivery. This collaboration prioritizes employment opportunities for disabled adults, empowering them to contribute meaningfully to the workforce. Services offered encompass full-scope grounds maintenance, landscape design, fertilization, irrigation upkeep, tree and shrub care, parking lot maintenance, and Security and Perimeter Fence Maintenance, underscoring the value of collaboration in achieving community objectives.

Within NAVBASE Kitsap, including Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor, the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, and the Manchester Fuel Depot, play essential roles in maintaining and repairing the Navy's fleet, ensuring operational readiness and fuel supply. These facilities highlight NAVBASE Kitsap's significance within the U.S. Navy's operational framework.

NAVBASE Kitsap is the Navy’s third-largest fleet concentration area in the United States, hosting over 70 tenant commands, including Navy Region Northwest, Submarine Group 9, and Carrier Strike Group 3. Spanning more than 12,000 acres across the Kitsap Peninsula, it supports strategic missions involving submarines, aircraft carriers, shipyards, and research and testing units crucial for technological advancements.
