provides an array of employment services and options to persons with disabilities who are seeking long-term employment. In partnership with the Washington State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), program participants may receive:

• Trial Work Experience
• Employment Preparation
• Job Placement
• Job Coaching
• Independent Living Skills
• Office Skills Training

In partnership with the Kitsap County
Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), through comprehensive supported employment, Peninsula Services staff:


Gets to know the job-seeker and his/her existing support system;
Assists the person to acquire a job in the community;
Provides long-term job coaching and assistance at the person’s job site.

In partnership with Veterans Affairs (VA) and Labor & Industries (L&I) vocational services are provided to injured workers who are returning to work. In partnership with the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), a variety of vocational services can be provided to those persons who are referred to the agency.
The Group Supported Employment program provides even the most severely developmentally disabled adults with the opportunity to learn appropriate work behavior and skills, focusing on each individual’s needs and interests with the goal of finding meaningful, productive community employment. Participants learn proper behavior and social skills while creating a wide variety craft items and potted plants which are then sold at
 
Gift Garden
store. Located in downtown Bremerton, this is a highly structured and supportive community environment where participants learn basic retail skills, professional behavior, customer service and store maintenance. In The Loom Room participants make beautiful and artistic rag rugs to sell.

 
GeDunk
is the agency’s latte stand located in the USS Turner Joy Gift Shop, where participants who are ready for another step toward independent community-based employment receive valuable experience working with the public. Participants obtain food-handler permits, learn beverage preparation and money handling skills.
 
Sermart Stores
Servmart Stores provide office supplies and products to meet the specialized needs of the Navy and other government entities throughout the world. Servmart is proud to be an authorized JWOD distributor.

 
All Shred
provides secure document destruction services to local businesses and homes. Participants collect paper products then sort, shred and bale the end product to deliver for recycling.
